Cam Deas is a British 12 string guitarist, veering between whirling cyclones and waves of Takoma-schooled finger-picking and psychedelic freak-outs of clicking and scratching free improvisation, he seeks to bridge gaps between the tantric vibrations of Robbie Basho and John Fahey with the stark minimalism and improvisational work of Derek Bailey and Charlemagne Palestine. A slew of releases include some on the essential labels Blackest Rainbow and The Great Pop Supplement. In the past Deas has shared stages with the likes of Jack Rose, Alasdair Roberts, Steffen Basho-Junghans, Chris Corsano and Mick Flower, Tim Hecker, James Blackshaw and Sunburned Hand of the Man. This concert will be part of a 10 week tour in support of his new record, Quadtych, out on his own Present Time Exercises label.
